Many times, the soil around your foundation becomes saturated with water, and water is forced through any cracks or joints where the floor and wall meet. Interior Waterproofing Systems
Interior waterproofing is a very economical solution that has been used by Seagate for over 30 years. Many of today’s waterproofing systems are interior because it is one of the best methods available. We offer three methods of interior waterproofing for your basement or crawl space:

• Channeling System – As the most economical system, this includes a mounted channel where the floor and wall meet. This method is not recommended for most basements.
  
  
• Tile System – A tile system installed under the basement floor provides the best interior method available, as well as a warranty as long as the life of the structure.
  
  
• Interior Tile and Exterior Tile Combined – This system includes an interior tile system and exterior tile system. Not recommended for many homes, but an appropriate solution when homes are close together or the landscape cannot be re-graded.

Exterior (Excavation) Waterproofing Systems
Because exterior waterproofing is the most effective method, we use an exterior waterproofing system when there are severe problems with the foundation. This is by far the best method available.

The A. B. Chance® Helical Pier Systems offers a technically superior and cost effective alternative to other remedial systems. The patented stabilizing system is backed by more than 80 years of structural engineering experience.

The concept is founded on the principle of turning a screw anchor into stable subsoil strata until the torque applied indicates the necessary load capacity has been achieved. Adjustable brackets are then attached to the base of your foundation walls, connecting the screw anchors to the foundations. The weight of your home is then shifted to the screw anchors.

In the process, foundations, walls, and floors are repositioned and retained from further movement.
